Getachew Zeleke's thorough care and diligence brings us a wonderful washed heirloom offering that delights with a clean white tea-esque cup, enjoyable jasmine florals, and peach-like sweetness with a twist of a tart grapefruit.

Getachew’s journey in coffee began behind a desk—as an accountant, or quite literally, a bean counter. Through disciplined saving and smart investments, he was eventually able to purchase land in Shakisso, a region known for its vibrant and distinct coffees. In 2009, he planted his first coffee trees.

Starting small, Getachew harvested from his own land and registered as a cherry buyer, collecting from local outgrowers and selling dried cherries to the ECX (Ethiopian Commodity Exchange). Over time, his operation grew in both scale and vision.

Today, Getachew owns his own farm, a dry mill, and a washing station—all of which he built from the ground up. This full control over the process allows him to bring exceptional care, consistency, and intentionality to every step of production. His hands-on approach and commitment to quality are evident in every cup.
